Emergency Response

BLS ambulance, staffed and ready 24/7

Basic Life Support ambulance service with certified EMT crew, full monitoring, AED, oxygen, and emergency supplies. Dispatched via CAD for emergency and non-emergency transport across NY and NJ.

What This Service Is

Basic Life Support ambulance transport

A Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance is staffed by two certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) trained to provide assessment, monitoring, and treatment for patients who require care during transport but do not require paramedic-level interventions. BLS is the standard of care for the majority of emergency and non-emergency transport calls.

Hatzolah EMS BLS units are stocked with AED-capable monitor-defibrillators, supplemental oxygen with delivery systems, spinal immobilization equipment, trauma supplies, glucose monitoring, pulse oximetry, and blood pressure monitoring. Crew holds current NREMT-B or NYS EMT certifications with regular skills maintenance.

BLS ambulances can be dispatched for emergency calls where ALS is not required, and for scheduled non-emergency transport to hospitals, dialysis centers, imaging facilities, and physician offices. When a call upgrades in the field to require ALS intervention, our dispatch will add an ALS unit or our crew will request ALS intercept.
